2. Ubícate, Inversión en Internet de acuerdo al tamaño del negocio
Aun y cuando con poco presupuesto se puede tener una página web decente para una empresa pequeña. Es muy importante dimensionar el tamaño de la empresa y de las ventas con respecto a la inversión que haremos en nuestra nueva página web. Empieza a hacer la tarea, analiza las páginas web de la competencia, compara no solo localmente sino a nivel nacional e internacional. Analiza el contenido, que tan útil es para los visitantes, Que tan fácil es encontrar lo que se quiere comprar.
Establece el nivel de diseño que requiere tu pagina web de acuerdo a las caracteristicas de tu servicio o producto. Si vendes algo visualmente importante, el diseño tambien lo será, pero, observa tu competencia, que tanto está invirtiendo la competencia en los dibujos o imágenes que acompañan al contenido.
Recuerda que la inversión dependerá de varios aspectos:
1. La complejidad del diseño.
2. La cantidad de información a publicar.
3. Las funcionalidades especiales (bases de datos, catalogos de productos, galerias, etc.).
4. La publicidad requerida tanto en internet como tradicional
Es muy importante tambien delimitar tu area de cobertura, si puedes ofrecer y distribuir tus productos o servicios dentro de tu ciudad, limitate a eso, concentra tus energias en ese espacio, que no se diluya tu pagina web en el mar del internet.
3. Define tus Ventajas y Organízate
Ahora que estas decidido a iniciar y que ya tienes una idea del tamaño de tu proyecto, el siguiente paso es decidir que información quieres publicar. El primer error es pensar que la empresa encargada de elaborar las páginas web va a escribir información de tu negocio. Absolutamente nadie sabe más de tu negocio que tú mismo. Empieza por escribir un borrador sobre cuales de tus servicios o productos son los que quieres publicar, básate sobre todo en los mejores márgenes de utilidad, compárate con la competencia, identifica cuáles son tus ventajas, por que deberían comprarte o contratarte a ti en lugar de a la competencia.
4. Recolecta Información y Escribe, escribe y escribe
Las páginas de internet son un medio para publicitar información, la información puede estar en diferentes tipos de formatos, textos, imágenes, videos, etc. Ahora que ya sabes que productos quieres publicitar y cuales son las ventajas de tu negocio, entonces llego lo bueno, hay que plasmarlo en un escrito. Tan importantes son las descripciones de un producto o servicio como las secciones de quienes somos, etc. Acuérdate siempre en escribir de manera natural y trata de enfatizar en las ventajas. Es buena idea tomar muchas fotos de tus productos, actividades o servicios. No todos nuestros visitantes serán lectores, por lo que trata de tener información en todos los formatos posibles, texto, audio y video.
5. Cotiza y Compara
Cuando ya estas organizado, ya sabes aproximadamente cuanta información vas a publicar, ya tienes parte de los escritos finales y tienes idea de cómo se deberá ver tu pagina, entonces es la hora de pedir cotizaciones. Generalmente en sitioi.com recibimos mensajes que dicen “favor de enviar cotización para pagina web”, así es, sin más información, haciendo imposible la respuesta. Invariablemente contestamos haciendo las preguntas básicas, sobre todo el objetivo de la página. Si se piden cotizaciones de esa manera no será posible comparar entre varios proveedores. Ahora si mandamos un correo electrónico solicitando una cotización donde especificamos el objetivo de la página, el área de negocios, la cobertura de nuestra página, las secciones que necesita, etc. Entonces si es factible comparar las cotizaciones y así ahorrar lo máximo posible. No olvides que la cotización incluya los costos por la renta del servidor de hospedaje, el nombre de dominio y los posibles gastos por mantenimiento posterior. Asegúrate que tu pagina web cuente con la posibilidad de publicar noticias, eventos, cambios a tus productos o políticas, etc. Con ello lograras fidelidad en tus clientes y aumentaras las posibilidades de atraer nuevos.
6. Emprende tu Proyecto
Aun y cuando de esta etapa sera responsable la empresa que elijas para desarrollar tu proyecto, es muy importante tu participación activa. Opina, alimenta con bastante información a la agencia para que elaboren su página sin dejar nada por sentado, y monitorea continuamente el desarrollo, si crees que algo va mal, detente corrige y avanza. No esperes realizar tu prouyecto en 1 dia, esto es algo serio, o no lo es tu negocio?
7. Anuncia la Página
Así es, si no haces publiciadad a tu pagina web es como mandar a imprimir volantes y ponerlos en tu escritorio en lugar de repartirlos. Lamentablemente el solo realizar la pagina no hará que tengamos visitas y ventas, para ellos se requiere una inversión en publicidad. Tienes que hacerle saber al mundo que hay una página de internet nueva y que esa pagina le puede ayudar a resolver algún problema.
8. Mantén Actualizada tu Página Web.
Es un error muy común el realizar una página web y abandonarla. En una situación de abandono, no solo no ganas nuevos clientes sino que pones en riesgo a los actuales. Si te aseguraste que tu página web cuente con el administrador de contenido, entonces será muy fácil para ti publicar artículos, si no lo tienes y tus clientes espera información de tu parte, pide la adición de un sistema de administración de contenido a tu pagina. Bastante trabajo de publicidad se puede hacer por el mismo personal de la empresa, si tienes dudas puedes contratar un profesional aquí.
9. Analiza la Estadística y Comprueba Resultados
Para saber si un proyecto de página web es exitoso, necesitamos medir.
