Séptima edición en la capital de Chile tendrá como invitados a Willem Dafoe, Santiago Segura, Angie Cepeda y el cineasta israelí Amos Gitai.
La exhibición de 100 películas de más de 30 países y la presencia estelar del actor estadounidense Willem Dafoe tendrá la séptima versión del Santiago Festival Internacional de Cine (Sanfic).
La muestra, que se realizará entre el 19 y el 27 de agosto en la capital de Chile, anuncia también la visita de Santiago Segura, Angie Cepeda y el cineasta israelí Amos Gitai, de quien se ofrecerá una retrospectiva de siete títulos.
La agenda del Sanfic 7 anuncia tres categorías: Internacional, Cine Chileno y de Talento Nacional, además del apoyo de películas nacionales en etapa de desarrollo, ya filmadas y en espera de postproducción de imagen y sonido, a través del Work In Progress.
La evaluación y premiación será definida por jurados integrados por importantes expertos extranjeros y nacionales, como la senior programmer de Sundance, Shari Frilot; la actriz francesa de cine y teatro Dominique Sanda y el director del programa de cine de la Sociedad Cinematográfica del Lincoln Center y del festival de Nueva York, Richard Peña.
Junto con continuar colaborando con algunas de las sedes donde ya ha estado anteriormente, como Cine Hoyts La Reina y Parque Arauco y Lastarria 90, este año se incorporaran tres nuevas sedes: Cine BF Huérfanos, el Centro Gabriela Mistral (GAM) y el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes.
Precisamente, en este último lugar se realizará la muestra Silencio para 5 + En la pampa, que se tomará el hall del centenario edificio desde este miércoles 10 y permanecerá abierta durante un mes, hasta el 10 de septiembre.
La iniciativa se desarrollará en el marco de la sección que desde su creación hace cinco años se ha transformado en uno de los espacios más comentados y valiosos del festival: Shoot the Shooter: Cine y video arte, que ha permitiendo a nuestro público apreciar los nexos entre distintos estilos audiovisuales, a través de los trabajos de creadores como Juan Downey, Jem Cohen, Andy Warhol y Alfredo Jaar, entre otros.
La competencia Internacional incluirá un título local, en este caso, La espera, de Francisca Fuenzalida, película que el año pasado estuvo en el Work In Progress. Por su parte, la competencia de Cine Chileno incluirá 10 títulos, entre trabajos documentales y de ficción, una valiosa panorámica de las posibilidades expresivas y artísticas del medio nacional, que van desde historias íntimas hasta el peso en la historia de figuras históricas como Augusto Pinochet y Gabriela Mistral.
